On March 5, 2024, the Institute of Sociology, NAS of Ukraine hosted the First Sociological Readings dedicated to the memory of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V.M. Vorona. The event was timed to coincide with the birthday of Valerii Mykhailovych Vorona, the permanent director of the Institute of Sociology from 1992 to 2021.

Among the participants of the event were scientists, teachers and graduate students of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine, the Faculty of Sociology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Ukrainian School of Archetypics (Kyiv), the Institute of History of Ukraine of the NAS of Ukraine, the State University of Trade and Economics (Kyiv), the Research Center "Oleksandr Yaremenko Institute of Social, Legal and Political Studies", Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University, and Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University.

A summary of the speeches of the reading participants is published in the Journal “Sociology:TMM”; it is planned to publish the materials in their entirety in a separate collection and place them on the website of the Institute of Sociology (https://isnasu.org.ua).
