Abstract. The material is devoted to the Round Table held on January 25, 2019 at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — "The phenomenon of anomie in the context of epistemological dichotomy "theory — fact"". Modern sociology can undoubtedly consider the anomie in the theoretical section and as an object of sociological measurement. Of course, these two facets of sociological knowledge are inseparable from one another, but simultaneously it can not be said that the interconnection between them is unambiguous and uncontradictory. In view of this, the purpose of the round table devoted to the phenomenon of anomy was to discuss the contradictions and opportunities that arise at the intersection of the theoretical and empirical research of this curious in academic terms and actual in the background of social processes in modern Ukraine.
