A round-table discussion focusing on post-war prospects for Ukrainian society took place on 5 July 2022. Sociological Association of Ukraine (SAU) and Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine acted as organisers of this event. The round table was moderated by Vil Bakirov, President of the Sociological Association of Ukraine and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine, as well as Yevhen Golovakha, Director of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine and Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine. A number of renowned Ukrainian sociologists from leading academic and educational institutions of this country participated in the discussion.

Talks and presentations of the participants will be published as full papers in a peer-reviewed periodical titled “Ukrainian Sociological Journal” for the year 2022.

The round table of 5 July 2022 was just the beginning of expert talks centring around possible social, political, cultural and sociopsychological parameters of Ukrainian society after the war. These and other issues related to the life of Ukrainian society after the victory will be further raised at sessions, round-table discussions and panels within the framework of the 22nd International Academic Conference “Kharkiv Sociological Readings”, which is scheduled for 3–4 November 2022
