Annotation. November 22, 2019, at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, a round table entitled "We keep learning, keeping teaching" was held. The round table was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Idelaida Kovaleva and Vladimir Yadov. The academic and life fates of these outstanding sociologists have developed in different ways, but both equally interesting and bright. The meeting participants spoke about the life and work of I. Kovaleva and V. Yadov, about their first meetings and their first impressions, about the impact they had on the formation and development of Soviet and post-Soviet sociology, as well as formation of the sociological community, its scientific standards and ethos.
